This body is not a body. These works do not form part of any larger collection of work but rather exist as individual ideas.

Striped Stockings & Trophy Mounted
Fragments or disembodied components which become part of a later work, fitting like a puzzle. These traces and pieces represent the collection of historical knowledge, attempting to form a concise, but often false, narrative. Synecdoches standing on behalf of the whole. Isolated parts become fetishized, a stimulus for sexual desire. The ambiguity of isolated parts provides a sense of unease, and disconnectedness. Exploring notions of displacement and belonging.

Etching and embossing.
Exhibited as part of Roommates – The Mute Opera, University of Johannesburg Art Gallery, 2011.

Beard for a Year
Performative experiment which records numerous nicknames or accusations while donning such facial hair. Exhibited with a handmade paper work with embedded facial hair.

Digital Print.
Exhibited as part of Performing Wo/Man, University of Johannesburg Art Gallery, 2014.
Collection of Wits Art Museum.

Elephant Skull forms part of a series of collaborative etchings done with Johan Thom, which involve both performative elements and observational drawings using an elephant skull. This project responds to Henry Moores work and drawings of the elephant skull.
