Striped Stockings & Trophy Mounted
Fragments or disembodied components which become part of a later work, fitting like a puzzle. These traces and pieces represent the collection of historical knowledge, attempting to form a concise, but often false, narrative. Synecdoches standing on behalf of the whole. Isolated parts become fetishized, a stimulus for sexual desire. The ambiguity of isolated parts provides a sense of unease, and disconnectedness. Exploring notions of displacement and belonging.
